Present evidence shows the involvement of many steroids such as estrogens, testosterone, bile acids, oxysterols, etc. in disease processes. Furthermore, oxidative metabolism of steroids can cause cancer, neurodegenerative and other diseases. Hence, balanced steroid levels are vital to health.
