Dr. Gaikwad’s research has been focused in the areas of Steroidomics, Steroid Metabolism, Modulation of Steroid Metabolic Pathways, Archaeological Biomarkers, Biomarker Synthesis and Mass Spectrometry. Steroidomics platform that he has recently developed is the first, most advanced and unique in the world. He has patented this technology which is the foundation for the current R&D and service at the Gaikwad Steroidomcis Lab. Dr. Gaikwad left his tenure track professor position to start worlds first steroidomics company.
